Biking - Bike hire shops in Dolgellau,Tywyn and Machynlleth. International Award Winning Mountainbike Trail at Coed y Brenin just outside Dolgellau.
Bird watching - RSPB centre at Penmaenpool our side of Dolgellau.
Boating/sailing - Available in Aberdovey near Tywyn and also Barmouth and Bala.
Bowling - Available on greens in Aberdovey.
Canoeing/kayaking - The Friog outdoor centre cater for all outdoor activities including canoeing and kayaking.
Prior booking is necessary and we can arrange contacts.
Fishing - Coarse and sea fishing available locally.
Golf - Aberdovey has an 18 hole course (12 miles away), Dolgellau has a 9 hole course and there is an 18 hole course at Harlech about an hour's drive from us.
Fairbourne also has a small nine hole golf course.
Horse riding - Horse trekking is available at Friog just off the Dolgellau Road.
Mini/crazy golf - Mini Golf is available in Tywyn and Aberdovey.
Pool/snooker - There is a snooker hall in Tywyn.
Rock climbing - Available through the Friog Outdoor Centre.
Shopping - A wide variety of rural shops in all towns, local shops in the village cater for papers,drinks and other small items.
Dolgellau and Machynlleth have shops catering for Arts, Crafts and Antiques.
Sightseeing - In the village we have historic sites ranging from a house where William Penn and Sir Alexander Fleming lived.
There is a 12th century Church at Llangelenyn about two miles from us, Castel y Bere about three miles away was built by Owain Glyndwyr.
Surfing - Very popular off the beach in our village.
Swimming - As well as our own beach there are beaches at Fairbourne, Tywyn, Aberdovey and Barmouth, to name just a few.
Tennis - Available in Tywyn and Aberdovey.
Walks - There are numerous walks of all kinds in this area ranging from Mountain Walks to gentle riverside strolls.
Water activities - Swimming, surfing, skiing and jet skiing are all popular in this area.
Water skiing - Very popular around here.
